A Big Bookish Week

Well it’s only Wednesday and this week has been one of the biggest in a long time. My publishing schedule and attempt to branch out in an additional direction have all culminated somehow in this week. Some of what’s going on I can share and some I can’t, but let’s just say that there’s A LOT happening this week.

Edits landed for my October release, with the working title In Italy for Love (I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll keep this title). It’s always fun to spend time with characters I’ve missed since submitting the draft manuscript at the beginning of April. It’s set in a very special corner of Italy and it’s all about found family.

AND I’ve just typed ‘The End’ on the next book for Boldwood, due out summer 2025. It’s about a wedding planning agency with a difference and is the start of a series, which is very exciting (I’ve introduced all of the characters for the entire series in the first book – even though two of them are only mentioned briefly – which was SO MUCH FUN!) I’ve just made the mood board to celebrate the first draft, as a reward.

A Wedding in the Sun is also out on FRIDAY! Which is very exciting, because I feel like pre-orders have gone fairly well. I still love the concept of this one: the ex-wife of the groom and the ex-husband of the bride stuck with each other on a road trip. There was so much to be explored with these two, but they were also really sweet together and even though I’ve written three books since this one, A Wedding in the Sun I think is still my favourite. (But isn’t it interesting how different people have different favourites?)

On top of ALL OF THIS, I’ve also had some important developments with my ‘extra’ book that has been sent out to editors around the world on submission… Nothing confirmed that I can share yet, but it has made this week extra huge, on top of everything. I’m really excited about this extra book. I have always loved sports romance (Susan Elizabeth Phillips’s Chicago Stars series was some of my seminal romance reading). The one I wrote is (of course) a little left-field, because it seems I like to write a little left-field, but for the people who appreciate that, it’s a good thing. I’ll post my mood board for my extra book, just because it’s had some moving and shaking this week too.

I’ve had some AMAZING character art for this one commissioned, too, which I can’t wait to share!
