- did I mention Italy?
then this book is for you!

Eight years ago, on 29th February, wedding planner Sophie-Leigh Kirke took matters into her own hands and proposed to the man she loved.
But when her boyfriend Andreas rebuffed the romantic gesture, heartbroken Sophie cut all contact with the gruff mountaineer, determined to get on with her life.
When the destination wedding agency she works for merges with an adventure travel company to create unique ceremonies for outdoor enthusiasts, Sophie is horrified to discover Andreas works there. Even worse: he’s been assigned as her guide for a scouting trip to Italy, in search of the perfect location for a summit-top wedding.
Thrown together to make another couple’s romantic dreams come true, all Sophie can think about are the dreams she once had for them. But when the truth of what actually happened eight long years ago finally emerges, will Sophie risk imagining a happily-ever-after and opening her heart to Andreas again…?

Lake Garda was a dream setting for a wedding book, with small, picturesque villages as well as the vast blue-green lake, which Sophie and Andreas explore in search of photoshoot locations and bridal party activities. But my favourite thing about the area is the mountains, which is why I made my bridal couple outdoor enthusiasts who want to get married at a mountain summit. Then of course I had to try out the climbing route where Andreas and Sophie share their first kiss in eight years!

I’ve heard from a lot of readers that they’d rather read about the hikes and climbs than actually do them, but many walks in the area aren’t challenging and even this ‘via ferrata’ (it means iron path in Italian, but it’s the special word for this fixed scrambling route that we use in English as well) is level ‘A’ and you don’t need any special training or abilities to do it.
Or you can just read the book! Either way, between the hikes and climbs and the angsty romance, there’s a bit of adrenaline in this one. I hope you all enjoy it!
