Playlists

Fitting for a book about music, the playlists for My Christmas Number One are EXTENSIVE! I’ve finally managed to curate it down to two playlists of songs that are embedded in the book and I thought I’d post them here so readers can listen along!

The first playlist has already been out in the world since publication day and featured on the Boldwood Blog. It’s a fun playlist of some of the Colombian pop music (and some more traditional favourites) that show Javi’s musical style and background. If you’d like to listen along with some ‘tropical party hits’, then head over to the My Christmas Number One Colombian Pop playlist on Spotify here (if you don’t use Spotify, I’ll put a track listing at the end of this article). Get ready to dance around the house!

I’ve just finished compiling the Christmas playlist (because although my book was released in September for the early birds, I agree it’s a bit early for Christmas yet!). It was pretty amazing to hear the different Christmas brought to life in the music, as I’d never listened to all of the songs one after the other, in the fabulous mix of traditions in the book. A lot of ‘Cara’s’ choices for the Christmas playlist are my own Christmas music choices that guarantee the nostalgia for me. And they’re extra special this year because they’re also woven into my debut novel.

When it’s time to switch on the Christmas music, you can all listen along to the My Christmas Number One Christmas playlist on Spotify here.
