Wow, what a crazy year this has been so far in my writing world. I’m still stunned that Italy Ever After is doing really well in the UK Kindle charts, hopefully helping lots of lovely new readers find my stories.
But ultimately, that side of things is a bit of a mystery to me, and also involves a degree of luck. What I really try to celebrate is the writing side, because that’s my passion, my hard work and the part of this job that I really love. Which is why today is a massive day.
I finished the first draft of book 4! It’s a really exciting story, where I just channelled all the banter and all the swoon to bring you a friends-to-lovers extravaganza, with lots of Venice, some secondary characters I now also love to bits, and a central couple who broke and warmed my heart. Here’s what you get in the as-yet untitled second Venice book:

Kickass biologist heroine

Hunky oarmaker with a heart of gold

A friend-fling (haha like that was ever going to work)

Summer on the Venice lagoon
Woohoo! I can’t wait and it’s aaaaages to wait and the first book hasn’t even come out, yet! (But psst the first book is up for pre-order if you want to search for A Match Made in Venice on Amazon… Not official, yet, but you can read the blurb!) Such is life for the author. Now I have to go back and edit book X for its exciting future. And I can sit back and say I’ve written four books in the past 12 months, as well as editing two (and a half). This really is the best part.
